Gear couplings and brakedrums are critical components in the drive trains of EOT cranes, hoists, conveyors and heavy industrial machinery. They transmit torque reliably under misalignment, absorb shock loads, and — in the case of brakedrums — provide the braking surface that holds loaded cranes safely in position between lifts.
Because Fluidline designs and builds EOT cranes and hydraulic equipment, we manufacture couplings and brakedrums to the same standards we specify in our own products. When we supply a coupling or brakedrum, it has been selected for the torque rating, shaft diameter, speed and duty class of the actual application — not sized to a generic standard that may leave no margin for shock loads or duty cycle.
We manufacture gear couplings, flexible couplings and brakedrums in-house at our Kundli facility using close-grained cast iron (IS 210 FG 260) and forged steel (IS 2062). All components are dimensionally inspected and supplied with material test certificates. Custom sizes, non-standard bore configurations and replacement parts for legacy installations are available on enquiry.

Gear Couplings
Standard IS/DIN gear couplings for EOT crane hoist and travel drives, gearbox connections and pump-motor drive trains. Available in full-gear (both flanges toothed) and half-gear configurations. Tolerates combined angular, parallel and axial misalignment — the correct coupling for crane duty class M3–M8 applications.
Flexible Couplings
Pin-and-bush and jaw-type flexible couplings for lighter duty drive connections, pump-motor sets and equipment where vibration damping is required. Nylon and polyurethane element types. Suitable for direct-coupled motor drives on pumps, blowers and conveyors.
Brakedrums
Cast iron and forged steel brakedrums for thruster brakes, electromagnetic disc brakes and hydraulic caliper brakes on EOT cranes, hoists and conveyors. Manufactured to IS 3177 requirements. Machined braking surface, balancing for high-speed applications, and hardness testing supplied as standard.
Replacement & Spare Parts
Replacement coupling sleeves, outer flanges, nylon bushes, spider elements and brakedrum assemblies for legacy cranes and machinery. Reverse-engineered from sample, drawing or model number. Compatible with most Indian and imported crane drive configurations.

We machine couplings and brakedrums at our Kundli facility on the same CNC turning centres used for hydraulic cylinder components. Tight tolerances, traceable materials and dimensional inspection for every batch.
IS 3177 Compliance
Brakedrums and couplings for EOT crane applications are designed and certified to IS 3177. We supply the documentation — material certificates, hardness reports, dimensional records — that your QC department and customers require.
Custom & Legacy Sizes
Standard sizes from stock, non-standard sizes to drawing, and reverse-engineered replacements for legacy equipment. We work from samples, worn parts and partial drawings when full technical data is not available.
