01 · Overview

Custom-built
cylinders for
any application.

Fluidline hydraulic cylinders are designed and manufactured entirely at our Kundli facility. We do not stock generic cylinders and adapt them — every cylinder is engineered to your bore, stroke, working pressure, mounting arrangement and seal specification from the first conversation. That approach is what allows us to handle applications that catalogue suppliers cannot serve.

Our cylinder manufacturing line includes honing machines, CNC turning centres, internal grinding equipment, chrome plating facilities and a hydraulic test rig. Cylinder tubes are honed to Ra 0.4 µm finish, rods are hard chrome plated and ground to H6/g6 tolerance, and every cylinder is pressure tested at 1.5× working pressure before dispatch.

We manufacture single-acting, double-acting and telescopic cylinders for cranes, presses, unloading systems, grabs, machine tools and general industrial applications. Reverse engineering of obsolete or discontinued cylinders is a regular part of our work — send us a sample or a drawing and we will produce an equivalent or improved replacement.

03 · Key Features

Manufacturing
quality built into
every cylinder.

Feature 01

Honed Tube

Cylinder tubes are precision honed to Ra 0.4 µm bore finish. Consistent surface finish is the single most important factor in seal life — our honing process delivers it reliably across every bore size in our range.

Feature 02

Chrome-Plated Rod

Piston rods are hard chrome plated to a minimum 25 µm depth and ground to H6/g6 tolerance. Chrome plating provides corrosion resistance and the surface hardness needed to resist seal wear in extended service.

Feature 03

Replaceable Seals

All cylinders are designed with field-replaceable seal kits. Parker and NOK seals are stocked as standard. The seal cartridge is accessible without removing the cylinder from its mounting in most configurations.

Feature 04

ISO Mountings

We manufacture to ISO 6020-2 and ISO 6022 mounting standards as standard options. Custom mountings — clevis, trunnion, flange, foot — are available to customer drawing or sample. Replacement cylinders are dimensionally matched to the original.

Feature 05

Sensor Ready

End-of-stroke proximity sensors, reed switches and linear position transducers can be fitted at manufacture. Sensor pocket geometry and cable exit are designed into the cylinder body for a clean installation.

Feature 06

Pressure Tested

Every cylinder is pressure tested at 1.5× rated working pressure before dispatch. Test parameters, inspection results and dimensional check are documented in the certificate supplied with every unit.

05 · Applications

Where our
cylinders
work hardest.

Fluidline cylinders operate across the full range of Indian heavy industry wherever controlled linear motion is needed:

Hydraulic Grabs EOT Cranes Hydraulic Unloaders Press & Forge Sugar Mills Steel Plants Cement Plants Tipping Bodies Machine Tools Foundries Ports & Bulk Handling Power Plants
06 · Why Fluidline

Why engineers
specify Fluidline cylinders.

Reason 01

True Custom Manufacturing

Every cylinder is built to your specification — not adapted from stock. Bore, stroke, pressure, mounting, seal brand and options are all defined at order stage. No compromise to suit a catalogue size.

Reason 02

Reverse Engineering Capability

We regularly produce replacement cylinders for obsolete and discontinued equipment. Send us the original cylinder or drawing and we will produce an equivalent or improved replacement, in stock or in as little as two weeks for urgent breakdown situations.

Reason 03

In-House Honing & Chrome

Honing and chrome plating are done in-house at our Kundli facility, not subcontracted. This gives us direct control over the two most critical quality parameters in cylinder manufacturing and eliminates the delays of external processing.

07 · FAQ

Frequently
asked questions.

Can you build hydraulic cylinders to ISO 6020-2 or ISO 6022 mountings?
Yes. We manufacture cylinders to ISO 6020-2 (medium pressure hydraulic cylinders) and ISO 6022 (high pressure hydraulic cylinders) mounting standards as standard options. We also manufacture to customer drawings and can replicate any existing cylinder mounting arrangement from a sample or drawing.
Do you supply hydraulic cylinders with proximity sensors?
Yes. We can fit magnetic proximity sensors or reed switches for end-of-stroke detection, as well as inductive position sensors for intermediate position feedback. Sensor type, mounting arrangement and connector standard are specified at order stage. We accommodate both PNP and NPN outputs and a range of IP ratings for industrial environments.
What is your seal kit warranty and what brands do you use?
We use Parker and NOK seal kits as standard across our cylinder range — both are globally recognised brands with proven performance in industrial hydraulic applications. Our cylinders carry a 12-month warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Replacement seal kits are stocked and available for every cylinder we manufacture.
Can you reverse-engineer an obsolete or damaged cylinder?
Yes. This is a regular part of our work. Send us the damaged cylinder or a complete dimensional drawing, and our engineering team will produce a reverse-engineered replacement. Where the original design had weaknesses, we can incorporate improvements in the replacement. We have successfully reverse-engineered cylinders for which no original drawings exist.
What is the test pressure for your hydraulic cylinders?
All cylinders are hydraulic pressure tested at 1.5 times the rated working pressure before dispatch. The test is held for a minimum duration and the cylinder is checked for external leakage, seal integrity and rod straightness. Test results are documented in the dispatch certificate that accompanies every unit.
What is your lead time for custom hydraulic cylinders?
Standard cylinders in common bore sizes (80 to 200 mm bore) typically dispatch within 2 to 4 weeks from drawing approval. Large bore cylinders (above 300 mm) and telescopic cylinders require 5 to 8 weeks depending on stroke and stage count. Rush orders are accommodated where raw material is in stock — contact our sales team to discuss urgency.
