Single girder EOT
cranes for workshops

View parent category: EOT Cranes →

The Fluidline single girder EOT crane is a standard electrically operated overhead travelling crane in its most practical, economical form. A single fabricated box-section girder spans the bay, carrying an underslung wire rope hoist that traverses along the lower flange. End carriages run on rails fixed to the building structure or dedicated runway beams, giving full coverage of the bay below.

Single girder cranes from Fluidline are specified for capacities from 1 MT through 20 MT and spans up to 25 metres, covering the great majority of workshop, manufacturing, assembly and maintenance bay requirements. Duty classification runs from A3 through A5, appropriate for intermittent to moderate-continuous lifting in engineering and process industry environments.

Every crane is designed to IS 807 and IS 3177, with full in-house fabrication of the girder, end carriages and wheel assemblies. The electrical panel, pendant control and safety devices are assembled and tested at Kundli before the crane is dispatched for site erection. Static and dynamic load tests at 125% and 110% of rated capacity respectively are conducted before dispatch, with test certificates issued.

03 · Features

Built to IS 807
in-house.

Feature 01

Full In-house Fabrication

Girder, end carriages, wheel assemblies and electrical panel are all manufactured and assembled at the Kundli facility. No outsourcing of critical structural components.

Feature 02

IS 807 Design Standard

Designed and tested to IS 807 (Design, erection and testing of cranes and hoists) and IS 3177 (electric overhead cranes) as applicable to the duty class and capacity.

Feature 03

125% Load Tested

Static test at 125% of rated capacity; dynamic test at 110%. Every unit dispatched with a test certificate documenting applied load, deflection measurement and inspection records.

Feature 04

Pendant & Radio Control

Standard push-button pendant control; radio remote control available as an option for applications where the operator cannot follow the crane on foot.

06 · Why Fluidline

Why specify
Fluidline.

Reason 01

Designed to the Application

Span, capacity, height of lift, duty class and control type are all confirmed before fabrication begins. We do not supply standard catalogue cranes that require field modifications.

Reason 02

Complete In-house Build

Structural fabrication, machining, electrical panel assembly and load testing — all done at Kundli. No subcontracted components that we cannot trace or control.

Reason 03

Test Certificate with Every Unit

Load test results, material traceability records and inspection documentation are issued with every crane. Required for statutory inspections under the Factories Act.

07 · FAQ

Frequently asked
questions.

What is the maximum capacity of a Fluidline single girder EOT crane?
Fluidline single girder EOT cranes are available in capacities from 1 MT up to 20 MT. For heavier loads or higher duty classes, a double girder configuration is recommended. The capacity is confirmed at the design stage against the structural requirements of the specific span.
What span range is available for single girder cranes?
Single girder EOT cranes are available with spans up to 25 metres. The exact span is determined by the bay width of the customer's building and the rail centres. Longer spans require deeper girder sections and are reviewed against deflection limits per IS 807.
What duty class are Fluidline single girder cranes rated to?
Single girder EOT cranes from Fluidline are rated to duty class A3 through A5 per IS 3177. Duty class is confirmed based on the number of operating hours per day and the lift cycles per hour in the customer's application. Higher duty applications are better served by double girder cranes.
What is the advantage of a single girder over a double girder crane?
Single girder cranes are lighter, less expensive and require less headroom than double girder cranes for the same span. They are the preferred choice for lighter duties in workshops, manufacturing bays and warehouses where the crane is used intermittently rather than continuously.
Is a load test certificate provided with every crane?
Yes. Every Fluidline EOT crane undergoes a static load test at 125% of rated capacity and a dynamic test at 110% before dispatch. A test certificate documenting results, material traceability and inspection records is issued for each unit — this is required for statutory inspection under the Factories Act.
